What causes products to build up on my curls?
Buildup typically comes from silicone and wax-based ingredients being layered onto the hair. When not properly or consistently cleansed, these ingredients can affect the texture, pattern, and hydration of your curls.
All Act+Acre products are silicone free, so you won't find any cause for build-up.
How To
Apply to wet hair. Start cleansing at the nape of the neck and work upward for a deeper cleanse. Cleanse twice for optimal results.

I’ve been using this shampoo for a couple weeks and I’m already noticing a big difference in my hair! I was previously using a target brand curl shampoo that was creating buildup so I switched to this one and I’ll never go back. My hair is so much shinier, softer, and I can go longer between washes. I will say I was hoping this shampoo would help more with my dandruff, but I think it’s probably a me problem and I should invest in their scalp exfoliating products too. For more info: I have thick, fine 2B high porosity hair that has highlights.

I have used the Curl Cleanse for about a month now and have used the Cleanse shampoo for 2 years now. I really loved the original Cleanse shampoo, but leave it to Act + Acre to make it better. I highly suggest all hair types to use the Curl Cleanse. I find that it deeply cleanses my scalp (I have curly hair so I need it) and HYDRATES. Wow! they hydration is insane, I honestly think it is because of the 5% Glycerin. I honestly loved the Original Cleanse shampoo but the Curl Cleanse truly took its place (and my heart) for me.

I have 3c hair and this is the BEST clarifying shampoo I have ever used. It is gentle on my hair and very effective in eliminating all residue without stripping my hair. I have had to substitute since the product has been unavailable so long. Please bring it back. I buy quality products and nothing comes close to Curl Cleanse Shampoo.
