We’re obsessed with bamboo—hence our Everyday Bag which is made from organic bamboo fibers. So—why bamboo?
It’s clean
Nearly all bamboo cultivated around the world is organically grown without the use of harsh chemicals, pesticides, herbicides or fertilizers.
It’s gentle on the planet
Bamboo grows incredibly fast, making it a much more sustainable fiber to work with in comparison to cotton. As a self-irrigating crop, it only requires ~12 gallons of water to produce one pound of fabric. For comparison, cotton requires ~2400 gallons of water to yield the same amount. Crazy stats.
It’s gentle on you
Not only is bamboo fiber sustainable, but it’s biodegradable, hypoallergenic, lightweight and highly absorbent as well. Its smooth rounded fibers have an incredibly soft, butterly feel, making it an excellent choice for those with sensitive skin that is irritated easily.
Whether you use it for your weekly run to the farmers market, or during your next adventure abroad, it’s an amazing eco-friendly alternative to traditional plastic or cotton totes.
