How do I know which restrictor to use?
The flow restrictor you use is dependent on which state you live in.
+ 1.8 GPM Flow Restrictor (Yellow): California, Washington, Hawaii
+ 2.0 GPM Flow Restrictor (Green): New York, Colorado, Vermont, Maine, Massachusetts
+ 2.5 GPM Flow Restrictor (Red): All other states
How often should I replace the Showerhead Filter?
You should replace the filter within your showerhead every 3 months.
Why should I filter my shower water?
The water we shower with directly impacts our scalp and hair health. Hard water contains chemicals such as chlorine + chloramines, and heavy metal contaminants that are known to strip the natural oils from the scalp and hair. This can lead to issues like flakes, dryness, itchiness, irritation, and eventually hair thinning and loss.
How To
Remove existing shower head using wrench found inside box. Wrap plumbers tape around threaded area of shower pipe twice. Install water flow restrictor to showerhead filter. Use the wrench to fully tighten to ensure a proper seal. Flush showerhead for 1-2 minutes before initial use.

The Act & Acre Showerhead is the real deal! I know it is working because I can tell a difference at the end of the three month cycle when it is time to change the filter. Once the new filter is replaced, my hair looks fabulous again!

I changed the filter about 6 months after originally installing the new shower head. Very simple instructions—was able to switch out the filter easily. I did notice a little black grit on my old filter—so I take that as a sign it’s working well

The shower head doesn’t stay in the position I set it to. It keeps falling every time water is flowing. I have submitted a request for return however they have not responded to my email.
